YEMAYA

Organic cocoa from Ecuador - Trinitario

Yemaya is a silent call for connection - with your inner self, with the earth, with the dance of life.

In the province of Manabí on Ecuador's coast, where cloud forests, volcanic soils and a tropical climate work together in unique harmony, this special cocoa matures at the Hacienda Palo Santo. Run by the Sáenz family, who have dedicated themselves to the cocoa trade with deep devotion for generations, a cocoa is produced here that not only nourishes, but also reminds.

The fine beans belong to the Trinitario variety. They combines the best of two worlds - the smoothness of the Criollo and the strength of the Forastero. Its flavour is soft and round, with nuances of flowers, forest, gentle spice and a slightly tangy fruitiness. Yemaya invites you to become soft. And clear at the same time.

Origin & Quality

The Hacienda Palo Santo is nestled in the green hills of Ecuador, close to the Pacific coast - a place where cocoa has been cultivated for generations in a deep connection with the earth. Here, the cocoa trees grow in natural shade, surrounded by wild herbs, bananas and tropical flora. The cocoa fruits are harvested by hand, traditionally fermented, dried in the sun and processed using stone mills. The result: a fine cocoa with a soft texture, deep warmth and a flavour reminiscent of golden fruit and light forest soil. A flavour that touches - not loudly, but deeply.

Responsibility & origin

Yemaya stands for a new way of doing business: regenerative, collaborative, respectful.

All processing takes place directly on a family finca - from cultivation to the finished cocoa mass. This not only ensures that the quality remains exceptionally high, but also that the added value remains entirely in the country of origin. The family has been cultivating their cocoa trees in harmony with nature for generations. The farm is certified organic, works with agroforestry, does not use any chemicals and actively promotes biodiversity. Cocoa grows here under the natural shade of fruit trees, medicinal plants and native vegetation - as part of a living ecosystem.

The family sees cocoa not as a commodity, but as a cultural heritage. They share their knowledge with small farmers in the region, promote educational programmes, ecological awareness and new forms of economic activity - so with every cup of Yemaya, you are supporting a holistic model of enjoyment that connects rather than divides: People, nature, the future.

Effect & ritual

Yemaya is not stimulating like a kick - but deeply opening, soft and flowing. This cocoa is particularly suitable for rituals of stillness, for days of pausing, for deep meditation or intuitive movement. It helps you to stop "doing" and start being. It carries the soul of Ecuador - a powerful, grounding medicine, wild yet gentle like the mist over the Andes and the whisper of the Amazon. It opens the heart, awakens your inner truth and reminds you of the original knowledge of your ancestors. In its presence you feel clarity, healing and a deep reconnection with the living pulse of life. A deep sense of calm spreads as soon as you stir it. And with the first sip, the flow begins - a reconnection with what matters: your inner self.

Ritual instructions
- Dissolve 25-40 g of cocoa mass in approx. 200 ml of warm water or plant-based drink (max. 65 °C)
- Stir gently - add cinnamon, tonka bean, cardamom and a pinch of cayenne to taste
- Drink slowly - consciously and with intention
- Listen to what is revealed. You can linger in silence or start to move.

Our recommendation:  Ground tonka bean

Yemaya is a companion for your inner water - for softness, clarity, connection. For a ritual that leads you back. To you.
