In the misty slopes of the majestic tropical Andes, shrouded in a mystical veil, springs the unique origin of our chili, which we affectionately call “Putchicana Chili”. Its sonorous name carries the story of a small town called Chicana, a picturesque community in the enchanting province of Zamora in Ecuador. It was in the fertile valleys of this breathtaking landscape that the Habanero variety first took root. Here, near Chicana, this special chili variety was discovered, established, bred and lovingly cultivated by a small family. The lush green of the tropical Andes provides the ideal breeding ground for the development of its unique aroma and intense spiciness.
